Smoke Stones Details and Inspiration

Our Smoke Stones are inspired by the simple act of finding a cool rock and carrying it with you, but the weed version! Smoke Stones primarily act as a joint/ blunt holder. This design has an added benefit of acting like a heat sink and cools the smoke significantly since it’s made of solid clay. Individuals who have problems with pain, dexterity and/or mobility in their hands have also told us that Smoke Stones make their joints and blunts easier to hold.

We created our Smoke Stones by starting with smooth stones of interesting shapes to make proprietary molds. These molds are used to slip cast each Smoke Stone as a solid piece, which is why they are so efficient at cooling smoke. This also makes them one of our more durable products.

We love the look of a fully glazed Smoke Stone, but there is one caveat to that. In ceramics, fully glazed pieces must be stilted so they don't fuse to the kiln shelf during the firing. You will notice our Smoke Stones have small shell imprints in the glaze where the shell was propping up the piece during firing. We smooth these down as much as possible, but they will always be visible.

How do you clean a Smoke Stone?

When it's time for a cleaning, clean these pieces the same way you would glass. For a quick clean, run hot water through the interior, swish the water around and drain. For a deeper clean of the interior, we recommend using isopropyl alcohol and salt.
